| Holds a Bachelor of Science Degree, is a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), LUTC Fellow, and has taken numerous CLU courses. An active member of NSACE (National Society of Agents for Consumer Education). Has been licensed in the insurance business since 1972, first as an agent in Hatzung Agency, working with his father Marvin, until they incorporated the agency as HIA in 1981, when he “took over the reigns”. Married for 40 years, with three children, two of whom (Dan and Nate) work with him at HIA. Outside of the insurance industry, is a Board member of the Edina Rotary Club. Twice president of the Mt. Olivet Men’s Club, also a supporting adult at Mt. Olivet “Circle of Friends”, an outreach for teenagers with developmental disabilities. Avid tennis player and runner. | |
